Alaska Airlines Coachella 2026

Alaska Airlines x Coachella + Stagecoach

Three Weekends. Two Festivals. One First-Class Escape.

Our Opportunity

As the Official Airline of Coachella and Stagecoach, Alaska Airlines had an opportunity to show up as more than the way festivalgoers get to the desert. The goal was to become part of the experience itself.

Across three consecutive weekends, two of the world's most iconic music festivals bring distinctly different audiences to Indio, all surrounded by an increasingly crowded landscape of brands competing for attention.

Our challenge was to create an experience that could cut through the noise at both festivals while feeling unmistakably Alaska: warm, unexpected, rewarding and rooted in the spirit of travel.

And in the middle of the desert, there was one thing every festivalgoer could appreciate: an escape.

Our Solution

We took festivalgoers out of the desert and transported them 35,000 feet above it.

Inspired by the feeling of flying above the clouds, the Alaska Airlines experience created a surreal, immersive escape where guests could step out of the heat and into a vibrant world in the sky.

A mirrored, illuminated arrival transported guests from the festival grounds into an expansive cloudscape filled with unexpected moments of discovery, hospitality and play. Photo moments highlighted Alaska's growing global network and destinations including Tokyo, Seoul, London and Rome, connecting the fantasy of the experience to the possibilities of where Alaska could take guests next.

Alaska's signature hospitality came to life with complimentary food and beverages, places to recharge and connectivity that kept guests online and sharing throughout the festival.

At the heart of the experience, Atmos Rewards members could unlock prizes ranging from festival perks and travel rewards to roundtrip flights, transforming loyalty enrollment into something immediate, playful and rewarding. Across the three weekends, Alaska gave away one million Atmos Rewards points, putting the possibility of the next adventure directly into guests' hands.

While the world remained consistent, the experience evolved with its audience. Learnings from two weekends of Coachella informed Stagecoach, where rewards and details shifted to meet the culture of the festival, including custom boot charms and Boot Barn gift cards.

One brand world. Two very different festival crowds. An experience designed to feel at home with both.

Our Outcome

Across three weekends in the desert, nearly 14,000 guests stepped inside the Alaska Airlines experience.

More than 10,000 reward interactions turned brand engagement into active participation, while over 33,000 food and beverage items brought Alaska's culture of hospitality to life on the ground.

But beyond the numbers, the experience gave Alaska Airlines a distinctive place within two massive cultural moments.

Rather than simply putting an airline brand at a music festival, we turned what Alaska does best into the experience itself: transporting people somewhere unexpected.

For a few minutes in the middle of the California desert, that destination just happened to be 35,000 feet above it.
